You are staring at your blogging career, not knowing what to write about. Or, you are determined to write the blog posts on a regular basis and struggling to come up with ideas for your blog posts?
Here are 5 easy ways to find new and interesting content ideas for your blog.
Table of Contents
#1. Read Blogs in Your Niche or Industry for Post Topic Ideas
A great way to come up with ideas for articles is to read other posts or even just scroll through post feeds in your niche. Similarly, you can join Facebook groups that are related to your niche. Discussing ideas with fellow bloggers will surely get your creative juices flowing! Make sure you give credit where credit is due.
I’m not recommending ripping off other people’s ideas nor copying material from another blog. Because of the search engines’ work to reduce content spam, this would only hurt your website ranking.
Instead, use these ideas and add your own commentary on the topic. Take the topic and discuss whether you agree or disagree and why. Provide your own references, data, and/or examples to support your thoughts.
Your blog visitors come to you with questions because they see you as a knowledgeable resource. It’s very likely there are others out there who have the same questions. The questions you receive (in a comment, message, and email) are a great starting point for a blog post.
Keep track of the questions you receive and use these for content ideas. There are a couple of benefits to this strategy. First, you’ll increase the likelihood that others will find your blog by searching for this topic. And you’ll further establish yourself as an expert in the field.
Everyone who has a solid SEO strategy will have executed proper keyword research. So, you should have a document containing hundreds of words and phrases you want to rank for. Of course, a keyword isn’t a topic for a post yet, but it can be a start.
Keywords are going to be the “master key” of all your SEO success.
A keyword is simply a word or phrase that people search for in search engines. Every time you do a google search you are entering a “keyword” into the search box.
Write something that stands out could also be a good strategy.
SEO and keywords are the two most important skills. So, you must learn them.

Quora is an amazing Q&A site that features questions with answers containing facts, opinions, and humorous stories that are voted on by Quora members.
Further, Quora’s content license allows the following: “you can reuse all new content on Quora by publishing it anywhere on the web, as long as you link back to the original content on Quora.”
Type your topic into the search bar. Quora will populate the list with common topics.
The results page will list popular questions and open (unanswered) questions. These unanswered questions are a golden opportunity to identify topics to blog about. It’s likely that others out there have the same question.
Answer an unanswered question on Quora (optional).
Take your answer and transform that same content into a blog post.

#5. Get Blog Post Ideas From Your Life
Another way to come up with ideas for posts is by thinking about life events related to your niche. An incredibly relevant example of this is the outbreak of COVID-19. It affects everyone, so it makes sense to write about it during this period. If you have a healthy food blog, you could write about ways to cook healthy recipes from your own experience.
Recovery from your own illnesses or your family members’ diseases could also be a great topic for blog posts. You can write about healthy habits or your habit development journey. It could well be that other people encounter the same problem and are looking for input.
